Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to frequently asked questions and other information about BeSomeone.

What is BeSomeone?

A free life coach for every teen: BeSomeone’s mission is global generational transformation through a viral youth movement of trained volunteer teens and college students providing free online peer-to-peer personal life coaching to help teens flourish and proactively develop their talents with a growth mindset regardless of where they go to school or what college they get into.

Making ourselves better so we can make the world better.

Why Should I Join my School's BeSomeone Program?

As a client or aspiring coach, you’ll level up your talents, increase your confidence and resilience, improve your mental health, and explore your passions to find the path to your purpose while building an authentic supportive relationship with your coach.

As a coach, you’ll make a real difference in your client’s lives while mastering coaching skills that will fast-track any career, not to mention boost college and job applications along with your LinkedIn profile. A Google study of its most successful managers found their #1 trait was a coaching mindset and skillset!

And here's the really cool part: as you progress you’ll eventually mentor your own aspiring coaches, empowering them to help even more teens thrive and become coaches themselves in an ever-growing cascade, exponentially multiplying your positive impact on the world!

Our big dream is that every high school freshman gets their own personal coach building them up to become the highest and best version of themselves.

If that vision inspires you as much as it does us, join the BeSomeone revolution today!

Coaching

What will we do in our Coaching Session?

Each coaching session will include check-ins, topics from the How to Navigate Life book, self-improvement discussions based on the five talents, and closing reflections with goal setting - all within a safe, confidential, and caring environment.

Who can join?

US or Canadian 13+ teen and college students. In the future we hope to expand to more countries.

How is my privacy maintained?

BeSomeone is a safe space and everything shared is confidential: first names only, no recordings.

You can even use your Discord username if you prefer. We collect no other information.

When will I meet with my coach?

First, set up an introductory coaching session.

At the end of the session, you and your coach will determine a convenient weekly schedule based around your availability. We ask that you respect the coach's time and schedule when booking a session.

BeSomeone Coaching vs. Therapy
BeSomeone peer to peer coaching is designed to provide a safe space for you to learn, grow and develop your own unique talents.

However, it's important to note that life coaching is not the same as therapy. While there are overlapping elements, coaching and therapy have distinct sets of boundaries and objectives.

  • Everything you say stays between you and the coach. Exceptions from the this include communication of suicidal or criminal intentions and plans in which case we will need to refer you to other professional services and supervisions (where if the details are shared it will be in a way so that your privacy is protected).
